If your waste is hazardous then it will almost certainly be classed as hazardous waste. Before a movement of hazardous waste can occur it is essential that a hazardous waste consignment note is filled out. This details the nature of the waste, its properties and its 6-digit classification code(s) under the current Hazardous Waste List. In addition, unless your site comes under the few exemptions allowed for in the Hazardous Waste Regulations, you will need to be registered with the Environment Agency as a hazardous waste producer. We can arrange all this on your behalf.

For the vast majority of consignments of hazardous materials, including waste, it is required that they are suitably packaged and labelled. Under the UK regulations it is the responsibility of the consignor to correctly package their waste. It is also the consignor's responsibility to generate transport documents (dangerous goods note and emergency information) for loads of hazardous waste and to pass these onto the carrier of the waste. These documents give information about the load to the driver and to the emergency services. Again, we can provide this service for you.
